Maxx Szucs will advance to next Saturday’s Wrestling Semi- State after finishing 4th at the Regional Saturday. Szucs won his first match of the day over Drake Montelongo of Tippecanoe Valley. The IHSAA Wrestling Sectional will take place on Saturday January 30 at Mishawaka HS. Clay will compete along with the teams from Mishawaka, Mishawaka Marian, Penn, SB Adams, SB Riley, SB St Joseph, and SB Washington. The Wrestling team suffered two losses on Senior Night Wednesday. The team lost 36-24 to Concord and 48-24 to Marian. Thank You to our Seniors for their dedication to the Wrestling Program. The Colonials will wrestle in the NIC tourney on Saturday at Elkhart.
The Wrestling team hit the road Wednesday night and dropped a 57-15 match to NIC foe Bremen. Winners for Clay included Maxx Szucs at 120 pounds, Austin Willis at 160 pounds and Ethan Bendit at Heavyweight. The Colonials back in action next Wednesday when they host Marian and Concord.
