Football Season ends at Sectional

The Football team couldn’t overcome five turnovers as they dropped a 66 to 6 sectional quarterfinal to St. Joe.   James Johnson led the Colonial  rushing attack with  5 carries for 92 yards and a touchdown. Jaden Pigee rushed for 38 yard on 6 carries.  The Colonials finish the year at 1-9. Congrats to Coach Mitchell

Football drops homecoming game to Bremen

ON a cold fall evening, the Football team celebrated  Homecoming at Clay Field. It turned out to be a lomng night as the Colonials dropped a 54-0 decision to Bremen. NIC Renames Divisions for Football and Boys and Girls Soccer

The NIC Conference has renamed  their divisions in football. The current NIC North which consist of  Penn, Elkhart, Saint Joseph, Marian, New Prairie, SB Adams will now be called the East-West Division, while the current South Division which consist of Bremen, Glenn, Jimtown, SB Riley, SB Washington,  and SB Clay will now be called the North Division. In

Football loses Nail Biter to John Glenn

The Clay Offense put up over 300 yards  Friday night and played their best game of the year while dropping a 15-6 game to John Glenn at Clay Field. The rushing attack produced over 200 yards while the passing attack produced over 100 yards.  Jamari Herring  had an 8 yard Touchdown for the only Clay score.

Football finds out State Tourney Route

The IHSAA held their annual Football. Pairings Thursday night. The Colonials will host St. Joe at Clay Field.   Below is the entire Bracket.    

Football shut out by Angola

A tough night for the Football team Friday as they feel behind early and couldn’t recover as Angola defeated the Colonials 49-0.  The Colonials Defense did shut the Hornets out in the 2nd half. The team back in action next Friday as they Host John Glenn in an NIC South Battle at Clay Field.

Football Sunk on The Banks of Baugo Creek

Another tough night for the Football team as the Colonials went to Baugo Township in Elkhart County and were beaten by Jimtown 49-6. The Lone Colonial score came from James Johnson as he rushed for a 60 yard touchdown. The Colonials return home next Friday and host Angola at Clay Field.

Football loses on Senior night

The Varsity Football Team celebrated  Senior night Friday night and played hard for thee full quarters, but Washington took over in the 4th Quarter by scoring 21 unanswered points in route to  a 35-6 win over the Colonials. The  Colonials offense did  muster 205 yards of total offense with Jamari Herring scoring the lone Clay Touchdown

Clay first-year coach Darius Mitchell had just 19 players suited up for the game, many of whom played on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Though the Colonials lost handily 45-8 to Riley, they surrendered just 263 total yards.
