Clay Baseball field gets name change

At the first meeting of the new year, the South Bend School Board Monday  made  a name change to Clay’s Baseball Field.  It has been renamed to Jim Reinebold Field. Reinebold won 503 games in 25 seasons as the head baseball coach at Clay. That’s more wins than any coach in any sport in South

The IHSAA has released the new Baseball and Softball sectional for the next two years . Softball stays in Class 3A Sectional 19 with New Prairie, St. Joe, Marian and Washington while baseball drops to Class 3A Sectional 19 with the same teams.  Click on the link to see the entire release.

After a tough loss to Adams on Wednesday, The Baseball team hit the road again Thursday  and hammered Argos 19-2 in 5 innings. Hunter Aker picked up the win on the mound with a complete game performance by giving up 2 runs on 6 hits while striking out 8 while helping himself at the Plate

The Colonials banged out 13 hits  as they defeated Career Academy 17-3 Tuesday night at Clay Field.  The bats were hot as Mark Williams , Mason Casper and Austin Love had multiple hits.  Maxx Szucs got the complete game 5 inning win allowing only 3 hits while striking out 7.   The Colonials are now 11-10
