Winter Sports Award Winners Announced

While schools continue to be closed due to the  Covid-19 Virus, The Clay Athletic Department and Clay Booster Club would like to share some good news.  They have announced the winners for the 2019-20 Winner Sports awards. The attached document list all of the winners in Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Swimming, Wrestling

Clay Winter Sports Awards

The Annual Clay Winter Sports Awards will be held on Wednesday March 18th starting at 6 pm in the Clay High School Cafeteria. The dinner will start at 6pm with team awards to follow .  Come and support all of the winter sports athletes.

Wrestling Season ends at Regional

The Boys Wrestling Season came to an end Saturday at the Individual  Regional at Penn.  All four qualifiers lost in their opening round matches. Wrestling team to send Four to Regionals.

The Wrestling team will send Four Individuals to the Wrestling  Regional at Penn next weekend.  Advancing to Regional  are Maxx Szucz who finished 3rd in the 120 pound weight class, Miguel Penaloza 3rd place at 138 pounds, Austin Willis  4th place at 145, and Kenneth Lax who was a sectional runner-up at 170 pounds.  The Colonials s

Wrestling wins two on Senior Night

The Wrestling team swept both of the meets against Marian and St. Joe Thursday night. The Colonials beat Marian 60-6 and St. Joe 51-16. Highlights of the night included  seniors, James Bagarus (132 lbs.), Miguel Penaloza (138 lbs.), Scott Gervais (160 lbs.), and Jason Williams (195 lbs.) that went a combined 8-0 and a thrilling

Tough Loss for Wrestling to Bremen

The Wrestling team had 6 individual winners on Wednesday night but came up short losing to Bremen 39-32.  Winners for  Clay were  Maxx Szucs at 120 pounds,   James Bagarus at 132 pounds, Kenny Lax at 170 pounds,  Dillan Prosper at 182 pounds, Jason Williams at 195 pounds and  McKenzie Dawning at 285 pounds.  The Colonials will

The Colonial  Wrestling team was beaten by State Power Mishawaka 78-6 Wednesday night The lone Colonial winner was Maxx Szucs who won at 120 pounds. Wrestling goes 2-3 at Twin Lakes Super Duals.

The Wrestling team went 2-3 at the Twin Lakes Super Duals on Saturday.  The Colonials defeated North White 42-30 and Fountain Central 37-36.  The Colonials dropped matches Lewis Cass 48-33, Faith Christian 53-24 and Twin Lakes 60-24.  Undefeated  wrestlers for Clay were Maxx Szucs at 120 pounds and Jason Williams at 195.
