Three more Colonials sign to play college sports

Three more Clay Athletes have signed their letters of intent to play sports in college.    Jonathan White and Nate Sanders will play their College Basketball at Muskegon Community College and Mamie Hodges for Swimming at Manchester.  White was a 4 year member of the Clay basketball program and was a varsity member for 2 years.

Girls Swimming finishes 5th at swim sectional

The Girls swim scored 161 points which was goo enough for 5th at the Sectional over the weekend. After the meet, Clay’s Darcia King-O’Blenis was announced as sectional coach of the year in a vote conducted among peers. Here is a list of the top finishers in the met.  Congrats to coach O’Blenis for her honor

Girls Swimming sectional rescheduled

Due to the anticipated  cold weather,  The Girls Swim Sectional prelims scheduled for Thursday are now scheduled for Friday.  Events will get underway at 5:30 pm

Girls Swimming finishes 8th at NIC meet

The Girls swim team finished 8th  the NIC swim meet  on Saturday.   The Colonials scored 103 points. Attached is the results form todays meet. Congrats to the girls swim team on a strong showing at NIC. nic girls swimming complete results

Boys and Girls Swiming lose to New Prairie

It was another strong night in the pool for the Colonials Swim teams, but they came up short Tuesday night versus New Prairie. The Girls dropped a 103-81 decision to the Cougars while the boys were beaten 139-32. Winners on the Girls side were  Meg Yerrington in the 200 yard free and 100 yard backstroke,

Boys and Girls Swimming drops meets to Penn

Despite good swims and effort, the Boys and Girls Swim teams lost their meets to Penn Thursday night. The Boys lost 147-29 and the Girls 138-45.  Winners for Clay included Ellie Belke in the 200 yard Freestyle and 100 yard Breaststroke. tonight’s results are attached. Clay versus Penn Swimming    

Swimming drops meet to Adams

The Boys and Girls Swim Teams dropped their meets to Adams on Tuesday night. The Girls lost 97-88 while the Boys lost 139-38.  Great swims by many members of the Colonials.  The team back in action Thursday at Penn.  Tonight’s  results are below.

Boys and Girls Swimming drop meet to St. Joe

The Boys and Girls Swim teams traveled  to the “Rock” At Notre Dame  to swim St Joe Thursday night. The Boys fell to the Indians 127-37 while the Girls lost 122 to 59.  Boys First  Place winners for Clay were Quentin Rodriguez in the Boys 200 Free. for the Girls, Ellie Belke won the 200

Boys and Girls Swimming spilt with Marian

The Boys and Girls Swim teams in action Tuesday and they split wiht Mishawka Marian. The Girls were victorious 119-65 and the boys lost 119-43.  Lots of great times in the pool by the Colonials.  Attached are tonight’s official results.  

Girls Swimming finishes 4th in City meet

The Girls swim team particpated in the city meet on Saturday at Riley.  Ther Colonials finished 4th with a team total of 223.  The finisjed ahead of  Washington. The results of todays meet are attached.
