Clay Cross Country Junior Alyx Hlawacz qualified for next weeks’ Semi-State for the Colonials as an individual qualifier with a time of 21:05. This is the second year in a row Clay has qualified a runner for the semi-state meet to be held at New Haven.

In a hard fought match on Thursday, the Volleyball team saw their season end at the hands of St. Joe at the Sectional. The Indians won in straight sets by the scores of 25-7, 25-9, 25-6. Congratulations to coach Benson and the Volleyball team on a hard fought season.
The NIC has released the Boys and Girls All-NIC Cross Country teams for 2019. Congratulations going out to Alyxandria Hiawacz who was named 2nd team by the conference. Two Clay soccer players have been named to the All-NIC Soccer teams for this season. On the girls Side, Goalkeeper Kayla Sanchez was named to the Honorable Mention team. The JV Football team went on the road Monday night and dropped a 20-8 decision to John Glenn. The lone Colonial score came on a Delbert Carver Touchdown run. The Colonials will wrap up the season next Monday at Jimtown.

The IHSAA conducted their annual Football tourney draw on Sunday . The Colonials will travel to Oliver Field to face Culver Academy.
The Clay Cross Country team competed in the Sectional Championships at Erskine this past Saturday, and Clay advanced two runners to Regionals next week to be held at Ox Bow Park in Elkhart.
