Girls Varsity Soccer · Girls Soccer season comes to end

The girls soccer team saw their season come to an end with a 4-0 loss to New Priarie in the Sectional.  Samantha Zahl led the defense with several stellar plays blocking the shooting lane. Mayah Francis had 15 – 25 yard plus throw ins and gave Clay an advantage on the line. Goalie Abby Demler made 7 saves. Demler’s game highlight was a slide tackle save! Sydney Maurer led the offense with 8 corner kicks, several break away runs, and 6 shots on goal. Kalaih Damp and Andrea Rodriguez had stellar offense performances and 2 breakaways each. Cora Bagarus was a standout defensive midfielder with aggressive energy. She consistently won the ball in the air and on the ground when toe to toe with the other team. The Lady Colonial Soccer team played with all their heart this game! The girls have grown significantly from the start of the season as newbies to players who have the fundamentals down and understand the game! The girls have really developed a passion for the game of soccer! Congratulations ot Coach Ashton and the team on their continued development and  love of the game
